Christmas

It was a very busy month, but we had a lot of fun together.

Texas

We flew on two planes to get to Texas for a wedding that daddy was officiating. We got in to San Antonio late on Thursday night so we were all tired for the whole weekend, but we had a fun time. We had never been there before, so we decided to take in a few of the sites. We went to the Alamo and then walked along River walk. It was very pretty. The wedding was really nice too. It is good to be back home though. I hope everything is going well for you. Bye for now.

Halloween

Today is Halloween and I am so excited. I get to go trick or treating for the very first time.
I am going to be a little pumpkin. Mommy went and bought me a orange shirt with a pumpkin on it to wear underneath my costume. We had a busy day, mom and dad went to get their license changed over so we are now official residents of Florida. Then we went to Costco and did a little shopping and had a treat there for lunch---a hot dog and berry ice cream---yummy! I even got to have some of mommy's soda. Then we went to a couple more stores and just did this and that around the house. I am working on going potty on the potty, so this week has been all about mommy saying, "Okay, time to sit on the potty!" Hopefully I will figure this out soon, because this is all we do most of the day, back and forth.....when I get it figured out, I get to wear big girl panties! Yay!

We went to a trunk or treat night at a church just down the road from us---I got to play in the bounce house and then play a few games and got a little bit of candy and some special things. It was a good day and a good night. How was your Halloween. Have a great rest of your week.  Bye for now.

a different kind of pumpkin patch

We went to a pumpkin farm today....it is our tradition, so I got to walk around in the pumpkins and pick my very own. I picked up 3 or 4, but always went back to the 1st one....There were farm animals there too, chickens, goats, ostrichs, pigs, bunnies etc. It is beautiful here right now. It is so new getting used to the fall "season" here since the trees don't change color.
I have been enjoying being outside pretty much anytime I want and I don't really need a jacket. Well, I thought I'd have mom share some pictures with you, so here was our adventure for Monday.. I hope you have a great week...Bye for now.

Painting

Mommy and I had a painting day today. I really need some fingerpaints, we just use acrylic paints that mommy has, but I would like my very own paints.....I need some bright colors. I think this would be called my "dark period", what do you think? It is cooler here today, so it feels like fall. Mom put my yellow pullover on me when we went outside. I chose it, it is so soft and snuggly, I just love it. There isn't much new going on here, just the same old thing, so until something more exciting happens, mom will probably just be putting pictures up...hope things are going well for you.. riding my tricycle

I learned how to ride my tricycle this past week, I do pretty well with pedaling, but the steering is still a bit of a challenge for me. I like to ride my bike though. We went for a walk in the trees the other day and found a really fun playground. We will have to go check it out again. I'll have mom show you some pictures another day, but I wanted to let you all see how well I am riding my tryke. The weather here is beautiful. It is feeling a bit like fall here, so I can be outside a little bit more than I had been able to a week or so ago. Enjoy! Bye for now

Moved to Florida

Yes, lots has changed since mom updated my blog last time. We packed up all my toys and animals and then I went to visit with Grandma and Grandpa in NE while mom and dad drove all the way to Florida. They flew back and then we spent the week with Grandma & Grandpa. We went to visit with my cousins and aunt and uncles too. I was the flower girl in my cousins wedding, I looked so pretty in my black dress. I had fun dancing with both the bride and the groom. Then we flew back home and when we landed, I looked out the window and yelled, "Florida" and once in the airport, "Welcome to Florida". Yes, I was very excited. It was all new to me. I wanted to just get to the house and play with my toys again. Mommy and daddy set up my room, so it was all ready for me when we got there. Daddy put me to bed that night and about 10 o'clock I woke up and wanted mommy. I told her that I wanted to take off my pjs and put on my clothes so I could play with my toys. Daddy is working more now, so mommy and I get to spend lots of time together. We are trying to do some activities together inside, since it's still pretty warm outside here, not what we are used to. We read, do puzzles, color, and bake together. I think it will be fun to live here, especially being close to the water and the beach, now I just have to get used to the water. Mom will try to stay on top of this a bit better, but I keep her pretty busy, so here are some pictures to let you know what we've been up to the last few months. Bye for now.

Reading

summer fun so far

Mommy and me went to the park yesterday and went on a train ride. It was fun...I wanted to go again, but I was so tired that mom said we'd go again another day.
I got to play in the stream too, the water was colder than I thought it would be so I didn't stay in too long. Daddy and I went swimming for the first time this summer a few days ago. It was fun to play with my new water wings and princess tube. I can't wait to play with them more and more this summer. Playing in the pool is one of my favorite things, I keep saying, "POOL! POOL! POOL!".... I am growing, growing, growing.
I like to repeat words that mom and dad say. I am working on my numbers I can count from 1-10, but I usually miss the 3 and 4 and just skip to 5, but I am learning. I also like to say my alphabet. Reading is one of my daily activities as is watching a couple episodes of Olivia. I love Olivia,I could watch it over and over again. There isn't much else new here. easter egg fun

We went to another church for their Easter Eggstravaganza, so I could make some crafts, get my face painted, and get eggs at the egg hunt. It was fun, they had crispy creme donuts and chick-fil-a sandwiches there too, so I ate some of that too. There were lots of kids there, but we all had our own areas to get the eggs from. We also learned what the real meaning of Easter is, not eggs, bunnies, candy or anything else, we learned that it is about Jesus rising from the dead and that He had victory over sin. It is truly a day to celebrate. My grandpa and grandma came to visit again for the weekend too, so I have been stuck like glue to grandma's side.
Tomorrow we are going to my uncle Terry's house for a late Easter lunch. I get to see all my cousins and play some too.

I really like the show "Olivia" so everyday before my nap time, I get to watch a couple of episodes of it. I can't quite say "Olivia" it sounds more like libia, but mom and dad know what I'm saying. I have all kinds of words that don't sound like their intented word, so I often have to show mom and dad what I am trying to say either that or I just say it louder, that never seems to help though. Easter eggs & cookies with Grandma

We went to see my grandparents and great-grandparents in NE for a few days last week and grandma always has things for me to do, so we colored eggs and decorated egg shaped cookies. I always have fun at their house. I am always repeating words and like to jabber quite a bit. Mommy bought me a potty yesterday, so I am going to start potty-training I guess. I can't wait for the weather to be nice all the time so I can play outside. I like to be outside. Well, that is it for now. I hope you have a great weekend. Bye for now.

My Second Birthday

two year doctor visit

Although it is not quite my birthday (the 20th), mom and dad took me for my check. The doctor said I was doing great, just small, but finally following my growth chart. I weigh 21 lbs, 7 oz, I am 32.5 inches tall and my head circumference is 47 centimeters. I am repeating lots of words that mom and dad say. I still don't use many two word phrases, but I am adding to my vocabulary everyday. I am still busy, busy, busy. I keep everyone I am with on their toes. I went to storytime at the library for the first time today. It was fun to hear the stories and watch the other kids sing songs, I wasn't quite sure about joining in yet though. I may start going to a tumbling type of class soon too, mom is still checking into that idea. I hope that you have a great rest of your week. Bye for now.

New Year

I realize that mommy hasn't updated my blog in awhile, even though I've been telling her she needs to get to it! We have done a few things since the new year started. We spent a few days up in Breckenridge playing in the pool and just being together. I am learning new words everyday. I am suppose to be resting right now, but instead I am lying in my crib singing.
