easter and other things

I had a good Easter. Mom and dad got me up at 5:15 am to go to a sunrise service, but I was so cold that mom and I just waited for daddy to get done speaking and then we had breakfast together. We went to our church after that and I played in the nursery and then we went to my uncle Terry's house for lunch and just spend some time with family. It was a long, but fun day. I only slept for a half an hour all day long. I am walking everywhere and getting into everything. I keep mom and dad on their toes for sure now. Mommy and me are heading to visit grandma tomorrow for about a week, I'll be taking my second plane ride. Mommy is a little stressed about it, since daddy isn't going to be there to help, but I'm sure she'll do just fine. I will try to be on my best behavior. :) I hope that you enjoy these pictures. Playing in the snow

Picnic

Since the last two day were so beautiful, mommy and I decided to go on a picnic.We sat under a tree and had strawberries, pasta wheels, string cheese and some leftover blueberry pancake. I walked all over on the grass and decided then that I was a big girl and could walk wherever I wanted. Of course, I made sure that mommy was close by though. I met some more kids that were just my age too. We had fun playing together. Daddy and mommy and I went for a walk together and went to the park and I got to swing. I love to swing. I giggle and giggle when the wind goes through my hair. Tomorrow will be my 13 month birthday. I am getting so big. I am walking more and more each day and have learned how to not only go up the stairs, but also to go down the stairs. I always make sure to turn around and go backwards so I don't hurt myself. I cruise down the steps. I am so fast that I keep mommy on her toes for sure. I hope that you have a great weekend. Enjoy the pictures. Bye for now.

Cute as a bug

Just the facts and another party

I had my one year doctor's appointment last monday and here is what is happening with me. I weigh 18 lbs. 5 oz and I am 29.25" tall and my head is 18" around. I am pretty small in the weight area, so I am still only wearing 6-9 month clothes, but in the height area, I am average and the head is a bit above average. That's because I am so smart:). I am taking more and more steps everyday and babbling quite a bit, I still haven't really formed any real recognizeable words, but I'm trying. I know what I'm saying. I also had to have shots that day (5 of them) OUCH! My legs were sore. After my adventure at the doctor, we had another party with my birth family to celebrate my birthday. It was fun. I had a whole cake to get into this time. I was a mess. This is me and my birthmom, Mallisa. I got some fun things from them too. I got a sit and spin, which is a little big for me, but I look forward to playing on it. I also got two really cute outfits and a little stuffed bunny. I will post a picture of me in them soon, so you can see how cute I look. Thank you for the fun party and the fun gifts. It was fun to hang out together for a little bit.

Let's see, what else has happened in the last week? mom and dad and I went swimming again at the rec center. It was fun, there were a lot of people there, so I got to do a lot of people watching, my favorite thing. Since the weather has been so nice, mom and I went for a couple of walks and dad and I went for a couple of runs. I am so looking forward to the nice weather, so we can take my wagon out for a spin. Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

I had a great first birthday. We had a party at Claim Jumper with family. I had balloons, presents and a red velvet cupcake all my own. Everyone took pictures of me and I didn't know for sure what to do with the cake. I took small bits of frosting to start and then mommy cut some of the cake and I tried some. I think I liked it, but I was so full from all the other food I ate that I didn't eat too much of it. Grandma and Grandpa B came for the day, so we played together. They decided to leave early because they were afraid they would get snowed in here, but we had a good time together anyway. I got lots of nice things. A couple of outfits, books, tractor, baby doll that giggles, sippy cups, plate and bowl , tickle monster puppet/book, noah's ark play toy, and I think that's all. I was so tired after the party, but I couldn't sleep, I guess that's what all the sugar does to me. I hope that you had a great day and thanks for checking in on me. Bye for now.

Playing in my room/my rocking chair

I like to spend time in my room. Each day I get to spend a little time just hanging out and playing in there, either before or after my nap. It's fun to take everything off the shelves, so that mommy gets to put it all back. It's just a little game that I play. My new favorite thing is playing in my rocking chair that is just my size. The seat comes off, so now I just sit in the middle of the chair without the seat, but when the seat is on, I have to see if I can stand up and rock, mom doesn't like that so much, she thinks I'll hurt myself or something, so my standing up usually doesn't last too long. I like to empty my baskets on my diaper changer too, play with my hats and shoes. We bought some new blinds for my room, so I have to check them out as well. Daddy is gone for the week, so it's just mommy and me. We always have a good time together. There isn't much new going on with me right now, same thing, still only taking a few steps, but just waiting on the full time walking. Anyway, I hope that you have a great week. Bye for now.

Another Day!

Hi again, Here I am, doing what I do most every day...play, eat,sleep (sometimes) and play some more. There isn't much new going on with me. I am still not walking, but I am good at walking around things that I am holding onto. I think it could be anyday now that I am confident enough to take that "first" step. I am eating some grown-up foods now though, (see the picture above of me and my lasagna) I am letting you know that, indeed, I am "so big". I have a cold right now, so mom and dad are always wiping my nose. I HHHHHAAAAAATTTTTTEEEEEE that.....I don't care if it runs. :0) Anyway, my nose is sore from all the wiping. I think that I may have passed on my cold to mom and dad too. I guess what goes around, comes around, or something like that. Well, I hope that you enjoy the pictures, that's about all for now. Happy New Year

This is my favorite past time, I love to put things in my mouth and carry them around, just like my puppy dogs do. I have done a few more things this month. I can clap my hands whenever someone says "Yeah!" I can stand up without any help for a few minutes, but then I sit right back down again. I am just not confident enough to take that first step. I do walk around holding onto furniture and things though. I am now starting to like to play with my tent. I go in and get some toys and play for a little bit, but then I come back out. We had a family day for our church last Sunday, so we went swimming. I love to be in the water. There were a bunch of kids who liked to hang out with me too. We had a good time. My mommy's store is closing, so she might get to stay home with me all the time, we'll have to see how things turn out, but I think it would be fun to play together everyday.

I can't believe that I am going to be eleven months old in another week or so. I am learning so much, I haven't said any real words yet, but I like to raise my hand and say "Up". I still say mamamama and dadadadadada. Not sure if those are words or not, but I'm trying. My grandma & grandpa came to visit again over New Years. We had a good time together. I always like when they come to see me. We have so much fun playing together. I can't think of anything else, just wanted to let you know that I am doing well and am enjoying life with my family. Merry 1st Christmas

Merry Christmas everybody, so it's a day late, oh well.

I had a good Christmas. I got some clothes, from mommy, and some

toys from the aunts and uncles and a few other fun things. I can pull myself to a standing position without any help, and stand for a little bit, but I haven't taken any steps yet. Mom and dad can wait a bit longer for that next milestone. I am still loving to babble and tell lots of stories, some are louder and longer than they may need to be, but I want to make sure that everyone knows what is going on with me. I have two teeth on the bottom and they are sharp, I accidentally bit mom the other day. I guess she knows now to keep her finger out of my mouth (hee hee). This is me in my new Christmas Eve dress. I actually kept my shoes on the whole night too. That was a first for me, I don't like things on my feet. It was so cold, mom thought I should cover my toes too. My grandma came to visit with me, so we have been having fun shopping and just being together too. My other grandma and grandpa will be coming this weekend for New Years, I wonder what we will do together. I hope that you have a wonderfully blessed New Year. catching up

A lot has happened since mom last wrote on here, so I'll try to summarize the past couple of months with a few pictures. Here I am with my Halloween costume, I was a cowgirl, all I'm missing is my hat, mom couldn't find one that was just my size, but she found the boots, so we just went with it. We went to our Fall Family fun night at church that night. We had a good time, next year I may be able to play some of the games, I was a little scared of things this year, but it was fun to watch everyone else.


On November 13th, we had our Adoption Day. I got to go with mom and dad to court to finalize the adoption. The judge was very nice and when she asked mom and dad a question, I wanted to answer too, so I said,"Yes",or what sounded like a yes, so everyone thought that was really cool and I got a laugh from those who came to support mom and dad and me. We have such good friends and family. We were only in the courtroom for maybe 5 minutes and then it was all done. We went to Black Eyed Pea for a celebration lunch and then later that night we met with friends and my mommy's family and Grandpa and Grandma for a fun dinner at White Fence Farm. It was a great night and day.

This was the outfit that I wore for my adoption day. I love polka dots and I thought I looked so cute. Okay, so I didn't leave the hat on for very long, but mom had to get one picture of me with it on.


We celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas early with daddy's family, because mommmy had to work the day after, so we took a little trip to see them and this is a picture of me and all my cousins. We had a good time playing together, but it soon became overwhelming with so many of them and only me, so I had to take a few naps to get away to have some of "me" time. It was strange the next day when it was just me again and I got all the attention. I decided I like it better that way.

On Thanksgiving day we went to my cousin's house here and spent part of the day together with mommy's family. It was fun to explore a new place and see what I could get into that I wasn't suppose to be into. Things everywhere. I'm glad that I didn't break anything or I would have made mom and dad sad. It turned out to be a good day and I am thankful for my family and friends who love me so much.

Grandma and Grandpa gave me a wagon for Christmas, so now we can take lots of walks with that and I can put lots of things in it too. There is room for a friend to go with me too. We can each have our own seat. Yeah! I wonder what else I'll get for Christmas.

Sorry that it took so long to get back to you all. Mom promises that she will try to get better about updating this, because she knows how much my audience misses me. As far as things I'm doing, I haven't taken any steps yet, but I move around furniture and I jabber quite a bit, still working on words, lots of dadadadaa and mamamamama and babababa. Oh, and I have two teeth on the bottom now, so I can gum different foods like crackers, bread, pasta, things like that. My eating has gotten better too, now that I have so many more choices. 8 months

Sorry it has taken so long to get anything up here, mom got busy with working a little bit more, so she hasn't sat down to type out my latest adventures for me. I have been quite busy so far this month. I went to another pumpkin patch with my grandpa & grandma and then spent a couple of day with my other grandma. I am still pulling up on everything and I can even stand by myself, without holding onto anything, for a few seconds before falling down. I get around pretty well too, not liking to sit still for too long. All of mom's scrapbook stuff is fun to get into too. It is all within my reach, she may have to rethink that....anyway. I went outside today and looked at the beautiful snow. I can't wait to be able to play in it, I think I would get lost in it right now, so for now I'll just stand with mom or dad on the step and look at it. We were all snowed in today, so we spent the day together. It was a fun time. That's about all for now..hope you are staying warm and enjoying your end of October. Do you have any Halloween plans? pumpkin patch

We went to the rock creek farm pumpkin patch on Saturday morning. It was a lot of fun. There were lots and lots of pumpkins in the field.
It was a nice day too. It was clear and pretty out. We took a bunch of pictures together. I got to pet a pony and a goat.
They had a little area where there were animals, so I got my picture taken with each one of them, goats, sheep, cows, ponies. We bought a couple of pumpkins and then walked around for awhile. I hope that we can go back next year.
Today mom made some pumpkin bread with the pumpkin she bought there, so the house smells really good. I can't have pumpkin bread yet, but I sure like the smell.
I am doing well, still pulling up on things and wanting to be the center of attention. I guess that's my job, right? I am not napping like I should be, but there is so much to do and see there isn't time for naps. I guess then I just have to go to bed earlier. Anyway, I hope that you are having a good week.
